Congratulations to Gaynor Burns, Catering Supervisor at Barnston Primary School in Heswall, Wirral and Julia Wood, Assistant Cook at Weaverham High School, Northwich, Cheshire, who will be spending a day in the kitchens of the 5* Chester Grosvenor Hotel as part of LACA’s 2019 Host a School Chef programme.

Community Interest Company Edsential, which is owned by Cheshire West and Chester  and Wirral Councils, ran a ‘Best Roast Dinner’ photo competition across all their schools during National School Meals Weeks in November last year and from all the entries received Gaynor and Julia were chosen as the two outstanding contributions. They will now join Executive Chef Simon Radley and his team and swap their school kitchens for the Michelin starred, fine dining surrounds of the Chester Grosvenor on Thursday 21st February.

Check us out after their visits to see the photographs of the day and see what Gaynor and Julia have to say about the world of haute cuisine.

Have a great day ladies and enjoy the experience.
